Symptoms



On 12.1 , Find that Lot Costs are not being calculated for the Product after running the Lot Costing Process for a Batch on which some ingredient quantity has been returned either before or after running the LCP and that the following error is seen in the logfile.

ERROR

ERROR: Unable to convert from KG to KG for transaction ID 1921782 for item ID 119228 for lot Number 1 qty 1
WARNING: Setting Lot for the orgn/Item/Lot 254/118231/7 as uncostable



STEPS
--------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a batch.
2. Issue material to the batch
3. Complete the batch
4. Correct the batch by returning back some ingredient qty on the Batch.
5. Run Lot cost process.
6. Cannot find any Lot Costs for the Product Item for the period.



BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot find the Lot cost for a product from a Batch which has returned materials.
