Put In Service Deployment Error 'Multiple Active Instances Found For The Item Attribute' For Non-Serial Split Item (Doc ID 1075994.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to deploy transaction which the qty has been split using the 'Split Quantity' feature
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Multiple active instance found for the item attributes provided. Inventory Item id: xxxx Organization id..

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
In OAT for a non-serialized product with quantity greater than 1 > Split Qty (new instance is assigned to split qty) > Perform Deployment transaction = 'Install' for the new instance (another new instance is created for the Installed quantity) > Perform Deployment transaction = 'Put into Service' for the new instance > Click on 'Apply' > Error is thrown
