With System Parameter Reservation Time Fence = 0, the line item is not 'reserved' during scheduling if you change the Request Date to anything other than today's date in the future.
Expect that the line would be reserved during scheduling.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Order Management Super User
2. Setup > System Parameters > Values
3. Reservation Time Fence = 0
4. Entered sales order
5. Entered line item and update the request date to a day in the future.
6. Booked order
7. See that item is not reserved
If you do not update the Request date - and leave it as Today's date, the line item will get reserved. But, if Request Date is updated to the future, then the line is not reserved.
