Customer Form, Account Profile Issue: Profile Class Always uses DEFAULT Profile Class (Doc ID 1083484.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to edit the Account Profile associated to a customer, to change the Profile Class, upon saving the Profile Class resets to DEFAULT. Also the log report shows the following errors:
