Changed Internal Item Number In Item Master Does Not Reflect In iProcurement Search

Symptoms
After changing the internal item number in item Master search in iprocurement for the new internal item number does not show any result. Search for the description or the old internal item number finds the item.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE (with a generic item example)
- Login to Core Purchasing
- Navigate to Items > Master Items
- Change the internal Item number from i.e. AS1234 to BC1234 for the item "Test rename"
- Login to iProcurement
- Search for BC1234
No results found - Search for "Test rename"
This search finds the item "Test rename" with internal Item BC1234 shown as the internal item number - Search for AS1234
This search finds the item "Test rename" with internal Item BC1234 shown as the internal item number
The internal Item number was updated but the intermedia index of iProcurement still has the old item number.
You can use the following sql to verify:
The output will show in the CTX_DESC column the old internal item number.
