Symptoms

After changing the internal item number in item Master search in iprocurement for the new internal item number does not show any result. Search for the description or the old internal item number finds the item.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Login to Core Purchasing
  2. Navigate to Items > Master Items
  3. Change the internal Item number from i.e. AS1234 to BC1234 for the item "Test rename"
  4. Login to iProcurement
  5. Search for BC1234
    No results found
  6. Search for "Test rename"
    This search finds the item "Test rename" with internal Item BC1234 shown as the internal item number
  7. Search for AS1234
    This search finds the item "Test rename" with internal Item BC1234 shown as the internal item number

    The internal Item number was updated but the intermedia index of iProcurement still has the old item number.

You can use the following sql to verify:

SELECT inventory_item_id FROM mtl_system_items_b mi WHERE segment1 like '&changed_number';

Enter the changed internal item number

SELECT * FROM icx_cat_items_ctx_dtls_tlp WHERE inventory_item_id = &inventory_item_id ORDER BY ctx_desc DESC;

Enter the inventory_item_id from the last statement.

The output will show in the CTX_DESC column the old internal item number.
