Budgeted the Approved Cost Budget for projects in Project Management. Have selected a few tasks to budget on, and have selected an Expenditure Category named MATERIALS & SUPPLIES to budget $8,000,000 against, for example.

The residual amount for example, $1,000,000 has been budgeted using the Financial Elements planning resource. When the PRC: Update Project Summary Amounts is run for any project that is budgeted by both a resource (expenditure category or expenditure type) and a planning resource (only Financial Elements), the Project Status Inquiry screen only shows the amount budgeted to a resource and does not pick up the amount budgeted to the planning resource.

To summarize, when a budget is created using only planning resources, nothing shows up in PSI. When a budget is created using only resources, the full budget amount is shown in PSI. When a combination of planning resources and resources is used, only the resources are shown.
