Unable to Change a User Password Using the E-Business Suite Preferences Page (Doc ID 1098335.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to change a user password in the self service preferences screen, users receive an "Update Successful" or "Confirmation Updated" message. However the user is then unable to log into the E-Business suite using the new password.

Expected Behaviour

Expect that the password change is valid

Steps to Replicate

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1:-Log into the application and choose the "Preferences" link in the top right of the window.
2. Enter the Old Password and New Password on the change password section
3. Click "Enter" on the keyboard, system will return "Updated Successful" message to confirm
4. Logout
5. Try to login to application with new changed password, but failed.

Business Impact

Due to this issue, users cannot log into the application after changing their passwords using the preferences screen.
