GLCCON: Consolidation Transfer with Error EC03 on Cross Currency Journals (Doc ID 1112445.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 01, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Executable:GLCCON - Consolidation Transfer

Symptoms

Some Cross Currency batches are erring due to EC03 during Consolidation posting.
The entries imported from the subledger exist and have no problems.
However, during consolidation transfer, Intercompany balancing logic in Posting is inserting balancing lines with null debit or credit amounts inappropriately which caused import of consolidation journals to fail.

The EC03 error means: A conversion rate type or an accounted amount must be supplied when entering foreign currency journal lines.

This happens even after having installed Patch 4517297 as recommended in Note 402563.1: GLLEZL Cannot Complete Consolidation Due To EC03 Error.
