Mailer Fails with "Error in Encoded Stream" while Handling an Unsolicited Email

Symptoms

In 11i instance, the mailer crashes while processing an unsolicited email.
Mailer log file shows :

UNEXPECTED:[SVC-GSM-WFMLRSVC-100868-10012 : oracle.apps.fnd.wf.mailer.IMAPResponseHandler.handleUnsolicited(EmailParser)]:Problem encountered when handling an unsolicited email -> java.io.IOException: Error in encoded stream, got 2


Those unsolicited emails that make the Mailer crash can be generated by using Reply or Forward button of email client tool to respond a notification, instead of using the MAILTO links.
