Calculating Transactions With A Rate Table of Type String Errors With ORA-06502 (Doc ID 1117394.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to calculate transactions with a rate table of type string the following error occurs:

Exception occurs in get_perf:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error
Exception occurs while calculating commission line:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character to number conversion error


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

(R) Compensation Manager
(N) Maintain Transactions
Enter a manual transaction
Save

(R) Compenaation Manager
(N) Tasks
Calculate Compensation for the manual transaction
Status of transaction changes to XCALC
Error encountered in log file

Changes

A Performance expression was created with an output of type string.
