When attempting to process transactions to Installed Base, the following error occurs.
Multiple active instances found for the item attributes provided.
Inventory Item ID : XXXXXX
Organization ID : 9.990000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000E+125
Locator ID : 9.990000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000E+125
Action: Check for duplicate inventory records found in CSI_ITEM_INSTANCES
Error Code - CSI_TXN_MULT_INST_FOUND
Error Description - The error message means that when the API looked to Installed Base for an Instance to update, it found more than one instance that met the criteria from Inventory. This generally occurs with Non-Serialized Item Numbers (even if they are Serialized at Sales Order Issue). It can occur for most transaction types including the following most common types:
CSIWIPCI – WIP Component Issue
CSIWIPCR – WIP Component Return
CSISOSHP - Sales Order Shipment
CSIRMARC - Return Material Authorization
CSIWIPAC - WIP Assembly Completion
