Symptoms
When trying to update the Lot Control Uniqueness field in the Organization Parameters form INVSDOIO.fmb, the following error occurs:
ERROR:
APP-INV-05381:Lot numbers exist that have been used for different items Lot uniqueness will be violated - updated not allowed.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1) Navigation: Inventory / Setup / Organizations / Parameters
2) Select an Existing Organization
3) Navigate to the Revision, Lot, Serial and LPN tab
4) Try to change the Lot Control Uniqueness field from "None" to "Across Items"

An organization has been created with LOT UNIQUENESS set to "None".
