R12: Payables: External Bank Account Already Exists Error Message While Creating a New Supplier Bank Account (Doc ID 1130404.1)

Symptoms

Creation of Supplier Bank Account is not possible when bank already exist and branch has to be created.
The following error messages are displayed:
    1. Parameter Bank Branch Id is required.
    2. The external bank account already exists

If the user tries to update the Supplier Bank Account, the following other error message is displayed:
    1. Primary Account Owner of the Account is
    2. The external bank account already exists
    3. IBY_UNIQ_ACCOUNT_OU (OU=XXXXXX)
