Last updated on NOVEMBER 30, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Trading Community - Version 12.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In release 11.5.10, you were able to hide the List of values (LOV) for party relationships in the customer standard UI.

Navigation Path in 11i
Responsibility: Trading Community
Navigation: Relationship Manager > Setup

Query Relationship Type you did not want to display
example Relationship Type VAD
Click "Assign to Relationship Groups"
For each Relationship Phrase, remove all the Assigned Relationship Groups from right hand side and apply.
If both subject/object phrases have no relationship groups then the LOV in Customer form -> party relationships types will NOT display in LOV in the party relationships for the customer standard form

In 12.1.2 You cannot hide these relationship types.
Navigation in R12
Responsibility: Trading Community
Navigation: Relationship Manager >  Setup

Query Relationship Type you did not want to display
example Relationship Type VAD
Click "Assign to Relationship Groups"
For each Relationship Phrase
remove all the Assigned Relationship Groups from right hand side and apply.
Login new Customer Ui
query customer -> Select Party relationship -> Click LOV for relationship roles
VAD still appears.  (you did not this to be displayed)

If there are no groups assigned to the relationship type, user should not be able to create a relationship with that relationship type.
