Service Requests: Unable To Assign Group or Individual Owner when SR Workflow is Active (Doc ID 1138573.1)

When a Service Request (SR) is created, a Workflow can be auto-launched.
(In the Service Request Type form there is a checkbox for 'Auto Launch WF').

Later when trying assign a new Owner to the SR, user gets the following message:

The owner of the service request cannot be updated because there is an active workflow.
