R12:AP:Change the MAXVALUE of the Sequences used in Payables to 15 Digit Numbers
(Doc ID 1141804.1)
Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025
Applies to:
Oracle Payables - Version 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.2 [Release 11.5]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Sequences used by the Payables application were only 10 digits long. Customers with large volumes of transactions could potentially exceed the largest number allowed. This would result in the error:
ORA-8004: Sequence <Sequence Name>.NEXTVAL Exceeds MAXVALUE. If the MAXVALUE was already set to 9999999999, there would be no resolution possible for the error.
Therefore, development has changed the MAXVALUE of the sequences mentioned below to 15 digits (999999999999999).
