Parts Requirement HTML Screen: The Source Subinventory Is Mandatory (Doc ID 1143244.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Spares Management - Version 12.1.2 to 12.1.2 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Find that Source Subinventory is mandatory in Parts Requirement HTML in 12.1.2. The source subinventory LOV does not have a blank (null) value. This does not work with the controlled organizations as the organization decides based on the rules as to which sub-inventory should the items be sourced from.

In 12.1.1 and 12.1.2 (Parts Requirement Order Form), this was not mandatory.
The expectation is to be able to leave the source subinventory field in Parts Requirement html blank as in the form.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into Spares Management Responsibility
2. Navigate to Parts Requirement (HTML)
3. Create a Parts Requirement as below:
    Enter Resource and Part
4. Add Source (select any Source Organization)
5. Subinventory LOV defaults to the topmost value in the LOV.
There is no null blank value in the SubInventory
