Symptoms

On : 12.1.1 version, United Arab Emirates HR


Find that when an employee with a nationality other than United Arab Emirates is entered, when processing the Social Insurance element, the following message is returned:

Social Insurance cannot be calculated for non-United Arab Emirates nationals.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect the social insurance deductions to be calculated as follows:

1) for UAE Nationals : (Basic + Housing + Child + Social)
Employee Contrb : 5%
Employer Contrb : 15%


2) for Omani Nationals : (Basic Only)
Employee Contrb : 6.4%
Employer Contrb : 15%

3) for Bahrani Nationals : (Basic + Housing (Cap 1500 AED))
Employee Contrb : 9%
Employer Contrb : 15%


4) for Saudi Nationals : (Basic Only)
Employee Contrb : 9%
Employer Contrb : 9%


5) for Kuwaiti Nationals : (Basic Only)
Employee Contrb : 6%
Employer Contrb : 11%


6) for Qatar Nationals : NA

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new employee, enter the required nationality, then enter payroll details, and add the social insurance element
2. Process the payroll for the employee
3. Check any messages generated.
