What is the Significance of Running ATP Data Collection to Invoke Scheduling in OM? (Doc ID 116166.1)

Purpose

In Release 11i, for a user to utilize the scheduling features, the Data Collections program must be setup and run.  Otherwise, the booking process will result in an error or the Sales Order Pad will hang.


Likelihood of Occurrence
------------------------

All Order Management (OM) customers need to perform this setup in order to use the scheduling features.


Possible Symptoms
-----------------

The customer will receive the following error when booking an order (form OEXOEORD) :

FND_AS_UNEXPECTED_ERROR
(PKG_NAME=OE_GRP_SCH_UTIL)
(PROCEDURE_NAME=Process_set_of_lines)
ERROR_TEXT=ORA-1403:no data found)


alone or together with :

FND_AS_UNEXPECTED_ERROR
(PKG_NAME=OE_Schedule)
(PROCEDURE_NAME=Action_Schedule)
ERROR_TEXT=ORA-1403:no data found)


or the Sales Order Pad will hang when quantity is entered in the line level.


Or customer may get the following error when booking a sales order:

ORA-06508: PL/SQL: couldn't find program unit being called in package OE_SCHEDULE_UTIL Procedure call_MRP_ATP
    
User definied exception in package OE_SCHEDULE_UTIL procedure action_schedule
