Error when attempting to access iStore via the IBE_CUSTOMER responsibility "Encryption key is not set" (Doc ID 1163516.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to access iStore via the IBE_CUSTOMER responsibility the following error occurs

Error

The application is currently not available or an unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later.
If this message persists, please contact the system administrator.

View Source shows:

Message: Encryption key is not set. Please set a value for encryption key in cookie properties as per documentation

  
Note: To view the error details in the page source,
Set Profile option FND: Debug Log Enabled to 'Y' at the user level that you are using to log in and reproduce the error.
Once you are on the error page, right click on the page > select view source.
 


Other Symptoms

1.) Application Error, when accessing iStore Minisite Page (ibeCZzdMinisites.jsp) or iStore Home page (ibeCZzpHome.jsp).

     View Source of the Application Error page shows the same error as described above.
     "Encryption Key Not set..."
     Error stack could be different involving the respective Jsps

eg:

Stack:

oracle.apps.jtf.base.resources.FrameworkException: Encryption key is not set. Please set a value
for encryption key in cookie properties as per documentation at _ibeCAcdLogin._jspService(_ibeCAcdLogin.java:628)

 

2.) When trying to Preview a Minisite from iStore Administrator UI.

In case of preview, View Source cannot be taken. However, iStore java log, for the Administrator User who has logged in, will show the same error message as shown above: 'Encryption Key not set..'.

 

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Responsibility: IBE_CUSTOMER
  2. Select User : Preferences . Orders
  3. Error occurs
