Duplicate Error When Hiring Active Applicant Through Manager Self-Service

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to hire an applicant entered and accepted in Core HR, the following error occurs.
You cannot create a duplicate if the person is in the same business group, or is already mapped to a person in the current business group.
Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1/ Log onto UK HRMS Manager
2/ People > Enter and Maintain
3/ Date track to date before today
4/ Press ok
5/ Create an Applicant
6/ Others / Application
7/ Enter Group details ( these are mandatory in our system) => ???
8/ Application / Recruiters tab, Change status to Accepted
9/ Press save
10/ Log out of UK HRMS Manager
11/ Log into HR Manager Self Service
12/ Hire Function
13/ Enter last name <EmpLastName>
14/ Press continue
15/ See several <EmpLastName>
16/ Click on a listed employee's name
17/ See the error message
