GLXJEENT Bad Performance On LOV For Accounting Flexfield Segment With Security Type As Hierarchical (Doc ID 1165057.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 11.5 to 12.2 [Release 11.5.0 to 12.2]
Oracle Application Object Library - Version to 12.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Form:GLXJEENT.FMB - Enter Journals/Encumbrances
FNDFFSRN - Define Security Rule
FNDFFSRA - Assign Security Rules

When entering journals in the journal entry form, selecting values for the accounting code combination segment values using the list of values (LOV) is very slow.

For one specific segment there are high values in this value set. In order to reduce the length of the value set, security rules were defined for different business units, the rules are assigned to the responsibility. Retrieving the LOV for this segment with the security rules in place is just as long as retrieving the full list of values.

Note: This issue might affect just the same any other Application Forms that are using LOV to pick flexfield segment values.
