Repair Order Error: FRM-40212 : Invalid value for field REFERENCE_NUMBER (Doc ID 1173153.1)

Symptoms

Repair Orders are not getting created in Depot Repair as the system is generating the following errors:

FRM-40212 : Invalid value for field REFERENCE_NUMBER
ORA-0413 : no data found


STEPS
1. Login to the Oracle Applications using a suitable responsibility (e.g. Depot Repair Super User).
2. Create a Repair Order (RO).
3. Enter the relevant information of Customer, SR Summary, Repair type, Item information, serial number of item. Save the RO.

The RO will get created with a RO number and IB number for the serialized item but at the same time generates the above error.
