Symptoms

When attempting to Ask OTM for Distance / Time the following error occurs.

2010-08-04 13:45:33.71 561368 Error Exception Address Type {type=null} for Oracle Spatial is unknown. Address Type must be one of the following: {validTypes=null} (STREET_ADDRESS=LAT_LONG, CITY_PROVINCE, CITY_COUNTRY, POSTAL_CODE)

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Log into OTM Support Instance running 6.1.1
1. Navigated to Shipment Management > Power Data > Geography > External Distance Engine
2. Created new External Distance Engine
3. Setup the Host and Port with OracleSpatial.port
4. Create new Rate Distance (Navigate to Contract and Rate Management > Power Data > Contracts > Rate Distance)
5. Applied External Distance Engine to Rate Distance
6. Clicked on Ask OTM Distance / Time to
7. Input TL-Sim for Rate Service
8. Input Rate Distance that was created
9. Input Ship From Location ID
10. Input Ship to Location ID
11. Click Find Distance/Time
12. Receive error
