GLPPOS Fails With APP-08046 Batch Not Postable (Doc ID 118529.1)

Symptoms

Responsibility = Oracle General Ledger Super User
GUI Navigation = Journals/Post/ Query the greyed out batch
GUI Navigation = Journals/Enter/ Query the batch you would like to post
GUI Form Name = GLXJEENT (Enter Journals), GLXJEPST (Post Journals)

You Navigate to the Journal Post Form and you want to post an existing Journal Batch . When you select this Batch to post it, you get the following error :

APP-08046: The Batch you selected is either not postable, already selected for posting, or being posted.

This Batch will appear in grey characters. Grey records are records that are not currently postable for some reason. The Batch information field will have the post status 'Not Postable', and Batch status will show the reason why this journal is not postable.

No more actions can be done on this screen.
