Symptoms



When attempting to create an item instance in Install Base, the following error occurs.

ERROR

"ORA-01861: literal does not match format string in Package CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_GRP Procedure CREATE_ITEM_INSTANCE"




STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Asset Tracking Superuser responsibility > Item instances > Create
2. Enter details
3. Save
Error will occur

Following issue is also resolved with the solution provided below:

When attempting to perform split quantity after initially creating an item instance with multiple quantity, the following error occurs.

ERROR

ORA-01861: literal does not match format string in Package CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_PVT Procedure CREATE_VERSION_LABEL
API Programming Error: CREATE_VERSION_LABEL API Failed to create a Version Label for an Instance in the Installed Base.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. (R) Asset Tracking > Item Instance > Create Instance
2. Set Quantity = 10
3. Item instance is created successfully
4. Press the Split Quantity button
5. Split Reason = User Profile, with option "Move each item to a new instance" option
6. Getting the above two error lines
