Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

From a functional perspective, how should indirect elements cost centre go to?  Should costing be based on the setup at the element link level of originating element or of the indirect element?

Steps To Replicate

Create 2 elements non recurring salary (Root element, for the indirect element), and an indirect element

  1. Create Formula - INDIRECT_RESULT_FORMULA.
  2. Create element link
    • Give following cost segment values at element entry level - e.g. 1.11..1.01
    • Give the setup for root element - e.g. 11.11..11.11
  3. When ran the payroll and costing for the period find the indirect element has been overridden by the root element's costing setup at element entry level.
  4. After cost run
    • Indirect element         - 11.11..11.11
    • Non recurring Salary - 11.11..11.11
  5. Expected value
    • Indirect element - 1.11..1.01
    • Non recurring Salary - 11.11..11.11
