How can one see OECOGS Workflow results through the WF monitor?

Goal
OECOGS workflow type does not work in the same manner as OEOL or OEOH and let you actually see the workflow of a particular instance. If you go to the workflow administrator and go to the Monitor workflow form and try to select OECOGS as the wf type, there are never any records to be obtained and viewed on the screen. This has always been the case.
How can one get the OECOGS workflow items and activities to show much like they do for OEOL, OEOH, APEXP, etc. through the WF monitor?
