Error "95325 The GL date is not in an open or a future enterable period" after Running Create Accounting, Need to Sweep Transactions (Doc ID 1212080.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run create accounting final the following error occurs.

ERROR

95325 The GL date is not in an open or a future enterable period. Please select a valid GL date or open the period.




STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run OPM preprocessor for post start date  and post end date for the last open period.
2. Run Create Accounting.
3. See errors when checking Subledger Accounting events page , the date displayed by message is in past and closed period.

If OPM Batch Release Transactions belong to a period that is already closed in the GL, these transactions are in error in the SLA because the GL Date is not in an open or future enterable period.
You cannot open the GL period in question and post it there.

This error can also appear on the Subledger Accounting Program Report and the Subledger Exceptions Report.
