Customer List of Values Is Empty For Print Statements

This problem can occur on any platform.
On the Print Statements form (ARXSUPST) and filling in inputs to generate a statement for a customer.
(N) Print Documents-> Statements
The following inputs were entered:
1. Print option (from LOV).
2. Aging bucket
3. Trying to enter customer name and clicked on LOV icon but it shows no customer entries to choose from.
Customers have been set up, yet LOV is empty. Why are customers missing, or not available to choose from the LOV (list of values)?
