Is MS Word Synchronization Available for Documents with Imported Clauses? (Doc ID 1247154.1)

Symptoms

Find that a contract template is created and a clause is imported from MS Word and added to the template. When attaching this template to contract Purchase agreement, during authoring, if the clause is updated and uploaded, the following error occurs.

Error:
MS word synchronization is not available for documents with clauses imported from Word.


Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a document in word with no xml tags, plain text.
2. Saved it as 2003 xml file
3. Use Contract Terms library admin responsibility
4. Create a clause
Intent: Buy
Click on import
Browsed and import the file created in step 1
5. Click on Apply and add details
6. Click on Submit
7. Approve the clause
8. Using Purchase Super User responsibility
9. Created a PO, Type: Contract Purchase Agreement
10. Go to Author Contract Terms
11. Use the flashlight and choose a contract template and click on Apply Template
12. Click on section Terms and Conditions and add the clause created in step 4
13. Click on Preview contract and I can see my clause added.
14. Download contract >> Go
15. Receive a warning:
Warning
MS word synchronization is not available for documents with clauses imported
from Word.
16. Click on Apply. Save the file to desktop
17. Within word, unprotect the document, track changes, add some lines, removed one line from my clause
18. Accept all changes
19. Saved as 2003 xml file, give it a diff name
20. Go back to contract terms
21. Upload contract
22. Choose the revised file from step 19
23. Click on Apply and receive:
Error
