Compensation Workbench Refers To Wrong List Of Values (Employee Review Types) For Performance Appraisals

(Doc ID 1265216.1)

Oracle Performance Management - Version 12.1.1 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In the following scenario:

Using Employee Reviews to capture Employee Progress report (done, monthly or ad-hoc basis). Performance Appraisal function is used to do Mid-Year & End-Year Performance reviews (hence they carry ratings). Performance ratings are captured by the application automatically from Performance function into the  Employee->Assignment-> Performance.

Compensation Benefits module for salary & bonus distribution uses the value "Performance Appraisal" from EMP_INTERVIEW_TYPE to link the performance rating captured above with the percentage to be paid to employees.

However, the same "Performance Appraisal" value is visible in Employee Review function, this creates issues with functionality. Any Employee Review captured in this function has no rating associated with it and hence it will not be useful in Compensation Workbench (CWB). As well as, showing this as an option in the List of Values (LOV) for Review type creates confusion for employees & managers.

This should be either removed or made hidden in employee review types. Ideal situation will be to have different lookup for Compensation Workbench (CWB) to look into for reading the performance rating captured for employees thus de-linking (un-necessary) linkage made between EMP_INTERVIEW_TYPE,  Performance function and CWB.
