Payroll Journal Import Errors: 'EF04 - Invalid Flexfield' (Doc ID 1267154.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to import payroll journal entries into General Ledger (GL), an error is received:

All accounts are enabled and there are no cross validation rule violations.

It is found that after applying patches, two of the costing segment values contain a null value after a Payroll or Quick Pay is processed.

This is causing the problem when importing the data into General Ledger.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Apply patches
Run Payroll and Costing processes
Transfer to GL
Import data to GL and get error.
