When attempting to update an existing Business Event, the following error is encountered that prevents the subscription from triggering:
Warning! The product specified for this event is not licensed. This event will not be processed.
The fix given below is applicable to all business events, whereas this is a specific example from Quoting:
1. In Quoting , The 'QA Check' screen is not shown , even when the Business Events are activated. When user wanted to update the Business event , the above error was encountered. Also Quoting debug log states '0 Subscriptions Found'.
2. One of the query shows LICENSED_FLAG as "N".
select LICENSED_FLAG from wf_events where upper(name) = upper('<event name>');
select LICENSED_FLAG , STATUS , owner_tag, source_type, phase from
wf_event_subscriptions where event_filter_guid = (select guid from
wf_events where upper(name) = upper('<event name>'));
3. However it is found that LICENSED_FLAG is set as "Y" in the workflow file (Exampe qotbevte.wfx ) that contains the event definition of oracle.apps.qot.events.quote.create_version.pre.
<DISPLAY_NAME>QOT Pre-Submit Entered Order</DISPLAY_NAME>
<DESCRIPTION>This event is raised before submitting a quote as an order in 'Entered' status.</DESCRIPTION>
