Unable To Search For Some Customers In Customer Search Screen In iReceivables. It Hangs and Times Out (Doc ID 1271489.1)

Symptoms

You are unable to Search for some customers using Customer Search Screen in iReceivables. It hangs and eventually times out with Page can not be displayed error. This is happening for some customers only.

It happens whether you enable the Search by Customer Name/Number option or not to query for those customers.

Tkprof shows the following top sql:

INSERT INTO AR_CUST_SEARCH_GT ( CUSTOMER_ID, ADDRESS_ID, BILL_TO_SITE_USE_ID,
DETAILS_LEVEL, CUSTOMER_NUMBER, CUSTOMER_NAME, CONTACT_NAME, CONTACT_PHONE,
SITE_USES, CONCATENATED_ADDRESS, LOCATION )
VALUES
( :B1 , :B2 , DECODE(:B3 ,-1,NULL, :B3 ), :B4 , :B5 , :B6 , :B7 , :B8 , :B9 ,
DECODE(:B2 , -1, :B12 , SUBSTRB(:B10 ,1,255)), :B11 )



If you generate a debug log (How to enable and retrieve FND debug log messages (Doc ID 433199.1)), the following error appears:

ORA-12899: value too large for column "AR"."AR_CUST_SEARCH_GT"."CONTACT_NAME" (actual: 56, maximum: 50)
