Symptoms
Find that Running the Procedure Create_Service Request for the first time, get over 80 seconds before completion.
The second time on the same parameters gets less than 6 seconds.
The trace shows high costs. e.g. SQL*Net message from client etc.
User expects to run the query within a few seconds (6seconds)
Customers can't create SR tickets using custom web applications. A quicker start time is required.
Normal steps to reproduce:
1) Run the Procedure Create_SR
2) It takes over 80 seconds to complete first time
3) Run the second time get completed in 5-6 seconds
- Why is this?
- Are there parameters to tune in order to improve performance?
