Symptoms

Attempting to create or update a Service Request after an upgrade from 11i to R12, an error displays.

Error:

     Error 100501: non ORACLE exception.
     The User-Resource link has not been setup correctly.
     Please contact your System Administrator.

Sometimes followed by the error:

      A Service Request with this number already exists. Please enter another number.

When using the Support(obsolete) responsibility, the error does not appear.

This error can occur any time the User-Resource link has not been set up, not only for R12 upgrades.


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade from 11i to R12.
2. Service Responsibility
3. Create or Update a Service Request
=> Error

Changes

Migration from 11i to R12.
"Support (Obsolete)" Application (CSS) has been changed to "Service"
