Cannot Restrict Note Types For Tasks In Service

On : 18.104.22.168 version, when trying to restrict the note types, that are available for assignment, to a task note of tasks created and associated to a Service Request, by end dating the their mapping between the 'Task Manager' source object and Service Application, they are still appearing under the navigation :
Service > Task tab.
I went into CRM Administrator>Note Setup>Note and Source Type Mapping
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps :
> under CRM Administrator responsibility
> navigate to Note Setup>Note and Source Type Mapping
> entered Task Manager - Callback, End date of 26-Aug-2010 for Service
> under Customer Support >Customer Management>Contact Center
> Locate a Customer
> Go to the Service Requests tab
> Select a Service request and click on the DETAILS button at the bottom of the tab
> The Service Request page appears
> Click on the Tasks tab
> Select a task and then click on the Task Notes button
>Go to the task type field and CALLBACK still appears on the list
