R12 - Province Does Not Show Provinces For Canadian Customer Address (Doc ID 1276245.1)

Symptoms

In R12.1.3, upon entering a Canadian customer address, and entering in a province, the province users want to enter does not show the 2 character abbreviation code for the province (i.e. BC for British Columbia) but instead shows the cities that have been setup in TCA Geography Hierarchy.  The page does not show the provinces, but instead shows Canadian cities in the Province field.

The following error appears:
"Value BC for the flexfield segment Province does not exist in the value set HZ_CA_PROVINCE."

Steps to reproduce:

Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Customers > Customers

  1. Query a customer
  2. Click on Account Details icon
  3. Click on Create Site then click on Create Address button
  4. Select counrty 'Canada'
  5. Enter 'Abercombie' in the Province field.
  6. The City field populated with 'Logan Lake'
