iSupport - Service Requests: Flexfield Data Does Not Get Saved (DFF - External_Attribute_N) (Doc ID 1279629.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle iSupport - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After entering a Service Request with data into a new DFF -Additional Information, pull the SR up in Depot Repair or view it via SQL.
No value had been saved in the External_Attribute_1 column.

Steps

- Enabled Segment in  DFF Service - Additional Information.
- Mapped it to Column CS_INCIDENTS_ALL_B.EXTERNAL_ATTRIBUTE_1
- In iSupport, enter a value for the DFF segment.
- Save.
=> SR is created, but the DFF segment remains null
Value in CS_INCIDENTS_ALL_B.EXTERNAL_ATTRIBUTE_1 is not saved.

Workaround

- From iSupport, none.
- Only alternative is to query the SR from TeleService (CSXSRISR.fmb) and populate the value in the DFF segment enabled in the SR header.

What is Working

If the value is entered in the same DFF but in Create Service Request form (CSXSRISR.fmb), then the value is stored.

Changes

Enabled DFF in iSupport.
