Mailer Crashes due to "javax.mail.MessageRemovedException" error while Processing Inbound Emails (Doc ID 1287266.1)

In R12, intermittently, Mailer Inbound Processor crashes, need to bounce Mailer to have it working again.
The following errors can be found in Mailer log file :

Problem encounted when reading new messages -> javax.mail.MessageRemovedException
Processor Exception was thrown due to lost connection

and then subsequent attempts by Mailer to open its Inbox fail with :

Unable to connect to mail store
