Last updated on DECEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Application Object Library - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

When creating a new Applications user, the person field corresponds to a person in HRMS.

Table FND_USER has only employee_id, customer_id and supplier columns.

A person (employee name) is from HRMS. Employee_name is not stored in the FND_USER table, but the corresponding employee_id is stored based on the employee name in HR.

Sysadmin is making the linkage between this person and the Application user. It is taking the employee_name from HR and populates corresponding employee_id in FND_USER table.
