This note discusses ways one could make specific user defined attributes (UDA) read-only. (This does not apply to operational attributes -- seeded attributes like transactable. See Note 1210633.1 and Note 435874.1. Also idea #5157)

How could one prepopulate User Defined Attributes (UDAs) for some columns on a multi-row attribute group while allowing a user to enter others on the same row?

Development Manager > Setup > Setup Workbench
Project Super User> Setup> Attribute Groups, Attribute Contexts

Business Impact
Users will enter some values while other values will be fixed and not change.
