Symptoms
On R11.5.10.2, applying patch 520052 fails with the following error in the adpatch log file:
Although the error implies that the table does not exist, querying the table dba_objects, shows that table AD_CHECK_FILE_TEMP still exists, and in a valid status.
Also, using adodfcmp to compare the definition of the table against what is stored in the database shows that the table exists, and all of its columns exist, and in perfect state.
