Adding Non-Stock Part To Work Order Via Activity; BOM Pricing Not Recorded (Doc ID 1298726.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 27, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Bills of Material - Version 12.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the user creates a Work Order specifying the Asset Activity value (also called an Activity BOM), and then adds a None-Stock Direct item to the work order, the Unit price is not getting populated on the item details of the page.
When the value for Asset Activity is not entered, if the same none-stock direct item used above is added, the details for the item shows the Price value.

Steps
1. Create Work-Order on Asset Management Page
2. Fill Asset Activity
3. Set work order status = Released
4. Add material requirement
5. Add a none-stock direct item
6. View details for the item and see no pricing populated.

The same steps above, without filling Asset Activity, does populate the pricing for the none-stock item.

Business Impact
Due to this issue, users are unable to use Activity BOM's since they often forget to manually enter the price manually.
