Getting 'Validate Mode...!!! I should not be here' Debug Message Logged into the Concurrent Program Log (Doc ID 1299006.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Installed Base - Version 12.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Running API AHL_PRD_MATERIAL_TXN_PUB.Perform_Material_Txn() ends up in calling the private APIs for Managing Item Instances (e.g. CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_PVT) from where the following debug messages are written:

p_validation_mode is :A
Validate Mode...!!! I should not be here
Return Status isS

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect these debug messages to be removed from the standard CSI code (or to be controlled by a profile to have the option to disable them).

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Define a custom concurrent program which is calling AHL API AHL_PRD_MATERIAL_TXN_PUB.Perform_Material_Txn()
2. This will end up in calling the private APIs for Managing Item Instances (e.g. CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_PVT)
3. Upon normal completion of the customer program, some unwanted debug messages are always written into the log of the concurrent.
