Look Ahead LOV Not Working For People: Assigned To / Requestor (Doc ID 1301717.1)

Symptoms

The "Look Ahead LOV" displays no values for Employee Names like Assigned-To and Requestor on the PIM Change Order HTML pages when valid values exist.
The values can be seen correctly if one tabs out of the field, or uses the List of Values (LOV) Button.

Note: The requestor "Look Ahead LOVs" did not work on a few pages including the main change order page, workflow tab and action tab.


Expected Results
Expect the Look Ahead LOV to display the correct values.

NOTE: In the images below and/or the attached document, user details / company name / address / email / telephone number represent a fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance).  Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.


Steps
 
* Assumes look-ahead profile enabled: FND: Disable Look Ahead LOV (= FALSE)
1. Go to workflow tab of a change request.
2. Try to assign workflow to 'John Doe' and type in 'John' in the employee field.
3. A small box is displayed with no values.
4. The message text says: No Items Found.


What is working
The list of values (LOV) works fine if one tabs out of the field, or uses the LOV Button.
Other Look Ahead LOVs work fine even on the same page like the on the Project field:


Workaround
Use the popup LOV window.
