Work Order [Copy From Asset Bom] Error Message "Material Requirement already exists for this item" Displays ID's Instead of Names (Doc ID 1302217.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.1 version,

When creating or updating a Work Order in Maintenance Super User responsibility > Work Order tab,

On the Material Requirements region,

if there is an Item already existing or manually added to the Work Order

and [Copy From Asset BOM] is selected, Select All and Apply.

the error message reported displays inventory_item_id = XXXXXX and wip_entity_id = XXXXXX and is not user friendly. 

Error

1. The entity with header id () generated the following error(s).
2. Material Requirement already exists for this item ( inventory_item_id = XXXX ).
3. This record with Inventory Item Id XXXX and Wip Entity Id XXXX was not processed because a severe error occurred in the material requirement while checking if it exists.
4. Material Requirement already exists for this item ( inventory_item_id = XXXX ).
5. This record with Inventory Item Id XXXX and Wip Entity Id XXXX was not processed because a severe error occurred in the material requirement while checking if it exists.

Steps

This can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate > Maintenance Super User responsibility > Work Order tab
  2. Create or Find and Update a Work Order
  3. In the Material Requirements region,
    1. Manually Add an item that already exists on a previously created Asset BOM.
    2. Select [Copy From Asset BOM] button
  4. Select All and Apply
  5. Error message is raised
