Clicking on an Empty Spreadtable Causes Forms Session to Stops Recognizing Keystrokes and Mouse Clicks (Doc ID 1302741.1)

On : 12.1.3 version, Core

When clicking on an empty spreadtable, the following error occurs.

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-2" java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.apps.jtf.table.SpreadTableWrapper.storePreSelectRows(
at oracle.apps.jtf.table.SpreadTableWrapper.checkAndDispatchReRowSelectedEvent(
at oracle.apps.jtf.table.GridPopupAdapter.mouseClicked(
at java.awt.AWTEventMulticaster.mouseClicked(Unknown Source)
at java.awt.Component.processMouseEvent(Unknown Source)
at oracle.ewt.lwAWT.LWComponent.processMouseEvent(Unknown Source)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Using the TeleSales Agent responsibility open up a org contact (party relationship) in eBusiness Center that does not have any Leads.
2) Navigate to the Lead Tab
4) Click in the white area of the Lead spreadtable (as long as there are no leads)
5) The session stops recognizing keystrokey and mouse clicks and the Java console shows the following stack trace:

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot continue working
