9 Digit Zip Codes With Czarlite Integration
(Doc ID 1304069.1)

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
If OTM and SMC3 Czarlite are integrated and the locations have 9 digit zip codes in OTM, when planning an order release, that has a 9 digit zip code for both source and destination locations, OTM plans normal, as with any other shipment.
But the feedback received from SMC3 is it will support only 5 digits and not more than 5 digits.
OTM should return rates from SMC3 for any US zip code with a length equal or greater than 5 digits.
There are 2 potential workarounds:
* to send only 5 digit zip codes in case of USA and 6 digits in case of Canada on, while the location creation itself remains through integration.
* to create an agent and write a direct SQL update to have the 'correct' zip codes.
But a solution which handles this scenario out of the box is required.
